Éva Last Year & This Year

My mother-in-law was exclaiming that Éva has changed so much since last year. That gave me the idea to compare her two Santa pictures:

Yep, this year she's changed from a baby to a little girl. Ahh (sigh). The time really does fly by. Last year she was still a little wobbly on her feet, she wasn't talking and she was so shy with strangers. Now she walks, runs, jumps, somersaults, usually all at the same time. She talks to people behind us, in front of us and ten feet away from us in the grocery store. She's a lively happy little soul who's gaining more and more confidence as the weeks go by.

There's a song in the Broadway show Mama Mia that captures beautifully my feelings about my baby growing up:

Slipping through my fingers all the time

I try to capture every minute

The feeling in it

Slipping through my fingers all the time

Do I really see what's in her mind

Each time I think I'm close to knowing

She keeps on growing

Slipping through my fingers all the time.

A year was a lifetime while we were waiting for Éva-Lynn and it is the same waiting for Samuel. Yet, once they arrive, a year goes by in the blink of an eye and we suddenly have a totally different child on our hands. Ahh (sigh). I just don't like it.

Oh my goodness! What a tremendous change in Eva from last year to this year! How old is she now Dawn? I am a twit at remembering dates:)

What a lovely little lady. Each stage is so wonderful and leave us wondering where the time goes...

What a beautiful song isn't it? The words are so fitting.

Thank you for posting the photos, they are so nice to see!

Take care!

WOW! She really HAS grown! She's so beautiful, you must be so proud! It does make me a bit sad to see my kiddos growing up too...but I guess that's just life. :-(

Oh my, look at that little lady grow up! Its amazing how quickly they change right under your own eyes - that's why pics are so important, so that you can see the transformation. Thanks for sharing!
