Adoption Jargon
- L.I.D. - Log In Date - the date China got our main file
- L.O.I. - Letter Of Intent - the letter we wrote to China asking if Samuel could be our son
- L.O.A. - Letter of Acceptance - the letter from the Chinese government that says Samuel is ours
- T.A. - TRAVEL APPROVAL - Letter from the Chinese government that gives us permission to enter China and PICK UP SAMUEL! Usually comes about 1 month after the L.O.A. We book our tickets to China once we get this letter.

Oh you guys all look so wonderful and so happy. What a nice bunch of new family photo's...I am just so happy for all of you. You look so relaxed...it is easier the 2nd time around..HUH...you know what to expect a little more..and now you are seasoned Mom and Dad...may the next day bring Sam out of his little shell...he will do just great..I have no doubt.

Oh my goodness... what a lovely family! And the pics outside bring back so many memories - the director and the nanny carrying Samuel brings tears of happiness to my eyes. I didn't realize you were traveling with another family! Juliette is great with getting kids to come out of their shell, so try and accept her help when you and she can - she got Kaitlynn going on the first afternoon, within a couple of hours of us being together.

Wow, what a beautiful family! Samuel has the most beautiful and tender eyes. I'm sooo glad things are going well for you guys. It really does seem like things are easier the 2nd time around. I think it's wonderful that Eva and your mom are there to share the experience. Heck, Samuel can't help but feel all the love around him.

Sam looks as handsome as I thought he would be!!!! I love the one of him sleeping on Jean-Pierre! So cute! And Eva's cheeseball grin is funny!

He is just so beautiful. So glad to hear it went so well and calmly. You all look so very happy in the photos. It is great that he isn't rejecting either of you, and that he is neither completely closed or completely grieving. A bit of all. How wonderful that you have Juliette as a guide. She is the greatest. Very sweet and friendly, and thoughtful re the parents and kids. Say hi from Leanne and Taotao in Montreal!
